Every year we have several officials that go above and beyond. We truly have an amazing group of people that love the sport of hockey and leave it all on the ice. They show up day in and day out making this program run smoothly. These awards recognize the incredible effort and sacrifice that our members make every year.

Rookie of the Year

The recipient of this award is a beginning Level 1 official who has shown excellent dedication towards learning the craft of officiating. They consistently improved their rule knowledge, positioning, skating fundamentals and applied peer evaluations to further improve.

True Grit

The recipients of this award are recognized by the GHOA for officiating the highest number of games throughout the course of each season. These members devoted their time to games for both the youth and adult hockey levels for the entire season. They were also called upon to work games on short notice and demonstrated professionalism and responsibility no matter what the situation.

GHOA Leadership Award
